- grassroots
leadership: "As Commander of a $1 billion dollar warship, and
crew of 310, Mike Abrashoff used grassroots leadership to increase retention
rates from 28% to 100%, reduce operating expenditures, and improve readiness.
By implementing principles
of effective leadership, Mike challenged the traditional command-and-control
management style of the U.S. Navy and turned USS Benfold into the most
highly efficient "organization" in the Pacific Fleet. Hundreds
of businesses throughout the world now use these GrassRoots Leadership
principles (source: grassrootsleadership.com)."

- military
order of the world wars (moww): The Military Order is a patriotic
nonpartisan organization, which holds that it is nobler to serve than
to be served. The Order was established in 1919 to promote the welfare
of our Nation. The Order provides an opportunity for Officers of all
of the Uniformed Services to unite in a strong program to promote National
Security, Patriotism, Good Citizenship and Service to Country.
- The Order is comprised of over
155 Chapters across the nation. The MOWW promotes good citizenship,
patriotic education, service to the nation, and strong national security
through youth leadership conferences, support of Boy and Girl Scouts,
recognition of outstanding ROTC and JROTC cadets, patriotic ceremonies
such as massing of the colors, upholding law and order, establishment
of memorials in remembrance of military services, and cultivation of
military, naval, and air science.

- national
youth leadership council: for more than two decades, NYLC has led
a movement linking youths, educators, and communities to redefine the
role of young people in society. that movement is service-learning,
and it empowers youths to transform themselves from recipients of information
and resources into valuable, contributing members of a democracy.
|
|
| |
- congressional
youth leadership council:
offers education leadership conferences for outstanding young people
from across the country and around the world, providing them with exciting
enrichment opportunities and authentic leadership laboratories. the

- project
any soldier: want to send a care package to "Any Soldier"
in harm's way, but have no idea what to send, who to send it to, or how
to send it? AnySoldier.US started in August 2003 as a simple family
effort to help the soldiers in one Army unit, thus our name. However,
due to overwhelming requests, on 1 January 2004 our effort was expanded
to include ANY Soldier. We now include any member, of any of the Armed
Services, in harms way.
